Supervisor: Tanya LipscombResearch: I worked on the Genomics team at OPXBIO, focusing on quantitative improvements in the tolerance to and production of various biochemicals by E. coli (as well as other microbes). Generally, I utilized metabolic engineering and statically-motivated selection strategies towards these tolerance/production phenotypes. Specifically, my research examined a novel, multiplex, directed-evolution genetic recombineering strategy to upregulate library-screened genetic targets.
