I am a resourceful and motivated Multimedia Entertainment Journalist who has spent the last 7+ years identifying and prioritizing interesting, trending topics, breaking news, high-profile events, celebrity appearances, legal battles and concert performances. Combining my passion for writing, my natural curiosity about people and the world around us with my love of telling stories, I am living the dream. As an Entertainment Journalist, I love to give people a voice and to elevate a community through words. I went to Colorado State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism & media communications. There, I gained a deep knowledge and understanding of the entertainment industry, including the processes of TV and film production, distribution and marketing music, movies and other entertainment content. My versatility as a writer and diverse media experience at Colorado State University led to my being hired as the Arts & Entertainment Editor of the Vail Daily newspaper after graduating.I consider Entertainment Journalism to be a documentation of current culture. It is a lifestyle, not a job. It requires you to be dedicated and detailed, flexible, a strong writer, a people-person and more. My experience at Fox News included writing up to 10 articles per day covering current events in real-time, in-depth features, interviews and analysis with high engagement, often grossing over 1 million readers at national outlets.When I am not at a computer, I am most likely to be listening to music (live or recorded), taking in a movie, out on the town enjoying food, and am continually thinking about possible stories, engaging captions, ways to pitch them, who would be the audience and how to captivate them.
