I designed the company's new business cards, posters, flyers, and email blasts. I created and distributed regular email blasts. I was the main contact person to our account executives in the field and customers when they need marketing materials or something created especially for a specific event. I coordinated advertising and events with my counterparts.

I ran this store as if it were my own. I merchandised the store myself and was the primary sales person. I had numerous customers who drove out of their way, past corporate stores that were closer to them, just to come and do business with me. I was on a first name basis with many of them and they brought me coffee, cards and even a bottle of wine to thank.

I wrote press releases, fielded media inquiries and campaigned with Sid Holbrook. Mr. Holbrook was running for the state legislature. He had previously held that seat for parts of two decades, and had been state DEP Commissioner and Chief of Staff to the governor.

I wrote feature articles, the obligatory news stories, and columns for Westbrook and Essex, Connecticut. I was a prolific writer and very well known and highly respected in my towns among the community and political leaders. I was praised for my writing style and above all, my integrity and accurate reporting. Many local leaders would only speak to me in.
