Accounting & Information Systems = The GOAT. Better than MJ & Scottie, Lebron & Kyrie, Peanut Butter & Honey (that's right, I said honey). It's better than all the duos you can think up. Who would have guessed?! I sure didn't...at least not until the opportunity came along. When it was time to choose a track at the start of my MAcc program at the University of Utah, the options were Audit, Tax, Information Systems. I thought, 'this is an easy decision. I love tech, I love systems and how they function.' I also remember wondering how I would use both harmoniously. Then, I graduated and discovered how vast the possibilities were. I could use both in perfect tandem. From that point on, I've been loving what I do every day. I get to combine two passions: accounting and technology. I love being able to provide solutions to companies in various industries, whether it's providing outsource accounting services and streamlining their close process or it's implementing NetSuite ERP systems and ensuring they have the support they need after go-live. I love the opportunity to continually master my craft by learning something new each and every day. I relish in taking on a project that I've never done before and figuring out a solution that improves a company and better equips employees to do their jobs. I take pride in the fact that I get to help businesses and people succeed.
