I led Lever as CEO through 2020-2022, resulting in efficiency, high growth, and an exciting outcome through joining Employ. Together with Lever, Employ is now the largest modern Talent Acquisition Suite provider, and Lever's products and services are a cornerstone solution. Combined, Employ has over 18,000 customers, 3.1 million job postings, and 500 million candidate relationships.At Lever, I helped raise $122.8 million in funding from Apax Digital, Adams Street Partners, Scale Venture Partners, Matrix Partners, Y Combinator, SV Angel, Keith Rabois, Aaron Levie, and Marissa Mayer, among others.

Starting in October 2014, my co-founder Sarah took on the role of CEO, and I focused on leading our technical architecture. I went on to manage our engineering department, IT, and Security. Outside of my primary role as CTO, I continued to assist with fundraising and serve on Lever's board.Earlier in my career at Lever, I helped author the DerbyJS realtime web app framework and ShareDB. DerbyJS is the only realtime JavaScript framework designed for Operational Transformation, a rigorous approach to data syncing used by Google Docs and other collaborative realtime apps. DerbyJS was also one of the first JavaScript MVC frameworks with full server and client rendering, for faster performance.

As Lever's initial CEO, I and my co-founder Brian attended Y Combinator, secured our first contracts, and hired the founding team. I raised our Seed and Series A rounds of funding.
