In this position I am responsible for all Core IT Infrastructure including all Network, Telephony, IT Facilities and Data Centers as well as the Operations Center overseeing all IT systems across for Volkswagen Group of America and Volkswagen Group of Canada. I lead my team with a relentless pursuit of excellent digital employee experience. This fanatical focus is borne out of the realization that all other aspects of an IT environment may be perfectly executed, but if the employee's experience is poor it is all for naught. I also serve as the Technical Account Manager for our affiliated organizations. These unique groups within Volkswagen Group of America are the "tip of the technical spear" investigating new and innovative ways to solve many of the challenges facing Volkswagen Group including electrification, autonomous driving and developing the future connected car infrastructure. Supporting these organizations calls upon my broad technical background to bring together and lead a cross functional IT team help define and deliver technology solutions to the challenges the affiliates have been tasked to solve.

In this position I was responsible for all network and telephony requirements for Volkswagen Group of America and Volkswagen Group of Canada. During my tenure at Volkswagen I brought Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing concepts to the IT&S department with the focused goal of improving reliability of the systems. Applying the tools of Continual Improvement, Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Standardization as a basis for improvement has yielded a dramatic results in both system reliability and customer satisfaction.

Developed Network Services organization to incorporate change control and project management processes. Given full responsibility for strategic and tactical management of the IT infrastructure and all technology & telecommunications systems, networks and solutions as well as security and service delivery. Standardized network services throughout entire organization to ensure consistent delivery of services to 67 locations globally. LEADERSHIP ACHIEVEMENTS • Built and mentored a global support team responsible for providing 24x7 support services to 2200 users.• Expanded role of corporate IT services across entire organization; centralizing support and reducing contract IT head count. • Established and gained adoption for global technology standards that reducing support incidents and costs• Proposed and implemented centralized negotiation and purchasing for all technology-related purchases, ensuring standardization and cost effectiveness of solutions provided.TECHNOLOGICAL ACHIEVEMENTS• Designed and managed a global migration from disparate individual site network to a consolidated 2008 active directory structure• Designed network services to ensure that all sites had highly available network infrastructure at the least expensive possible cost • Implemented regional data center design and global high performance MPLS network allowing for QoS and high availability throughout inter-site communications carrying data and voice communications• Standardized network design to allow for rapid and remote deployment; centralized mission critical email and ERP, allowing for delivery of best-in-class solutions while dramatically reducing total cost of ownership
