Recruited to help rapidly integrate and modernize newly acquired subsidiary of Churchill Downs, Inc. Led business operations team through large investment surge, including modernizing equipment, professionalizing field and central services, ramping-up hiring, and filling holes in product catalogs.

Owned all IT Service Management and Infrastructure for Sud-Chemie globally (over 70 sites in over 30 countries) from day-to-day operations and outsourcing partner management to strategy development and execution. From May of 2009 to December of 2010 was also a Six Sigma Blackbelt focused on Information Technology programs. Gained Toyota Lean / Six Sigma Blackbelt quality certification.• Promoted to be responsible for all IT Infrastructure and Operations (all IT except Governance and Global Applications) for Sud-Chemie globally with a budget of approximately €10MM.• Led global IT team spanning multiple time zones with 40% of my time spent at Sud-Chemie’s headquarters in Munich, Germany.• Managed program to standardize all users to a single PC image, in-source the Service Desk, consolidate Active Directory to a single global domain and implement global standard IT support processes saving €660K per annum.• Exceeded target as lead contract negotiator in a new 5 year contract with primary IT infrastructure outsourcing partner in Germany by reducing overall cost by €1.9MM per annum and standardizing and simplifying contractual terms and services.• Executed project to consolidate to single global Wide Area Network provider in 6 month period, reducing costs by over 30% and greatly reducing network outages.• Selected to be in the first international group of Sud-Chemie Six Sigma Lean Black Belts.• Led team that reduced Severity 1 incidents from 2008 to 2009 and from 2009 to 2010 by reducing incidents by more than 50% each year.

• Recruited to be a part of the new Global CIO’s management team with the objective of regaining control of costs and outsourcing partners and developing a new and robust IT strategy.• Communicated and secured buy-in for the new IT strategy from site leaders at 11 sites in four countries, (USA, Peru, Brazil and Mexico), bringing over 900 employees into a single IT management structure for the first time in company history.• Doubled the size of the Americas IT staff, while reducing overall regional IT costs by 21% through careful cost management and streamlining of local processes and vendors. - Renegotiated Paper Output Management Contracts. - Implemented virtualized server environment. - Cleaned out old contracts and rebid longer term contracts that came up for renewal.• Secured training and certification for entire Americas IT staff in IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) process standards.• Spearheaded approval for critical IT projects beneficial to the Americas, including personally leading an SAP Business One implementation in Lima, Peru and an SAP Payroll implementation in the USA.• Renegotiated Global Sud-Chemie Microsoft licensing contract by strategically moving it from Germany to the United States resulting in over €500K in cost savings for the company.

April 2006 to September 2007– GE Consumer and Industrial Headquarters, Louisville, KY • Led the Oracle ERP implementation project for GE Appliances Caribbean (a $115MM revenue subsidiary of GE). Managed international team of 8 business analysts and 10 developers on a daily basis across multiple world time zones while working 50% of the time onsite in Puerto Rico. Assumed responsibility for an ailing project and brought it back on target by refreshing resources, implementing an enhanced change management process, increasing business ownership and locking down scope, timeline and budget ($2MM). As part of project, piloted Critical Chain project methodology for IT function.• Led recruiting communications efforts for all functional areas for GE corporate-wide at Indiana University.• Defined new organizational structure and common processes for the Oracle ERP, PMO and Siebel internal COE’s (Centers of Excellence) in the second half of 2006 as part of leadership appointed taskforce. Used ITIL principles to standardize organizational processes that provided a template for the integration of GE Security, Sensing, Equipment Services and Consumer & Industrial’s IT functions in 1Q 2007.

• Prospected potential global projects and acted as liaison for the GE Consumer & Industrial Oracle ERP COE by meeting with GE business leaders in international locations such as Brazil, Hungary and Canada.• Defined scope, acquired resources, and managed from inception to completion the integration of the fixed asset systems for companies representing $16B in revenue (GE Supply, Industrial Systems, Appliances and Lighting). With budget of $600K over two years obtained ongoing yearly savings of $500K to the business. Received the Gary Reiner IT Excellence Award (CIO of GE) as result of leadership exhibited in the execution of this project.• Drove continuous global Oracle support process improvement projects and participated onsite in key go-lives such as the GE Supply Kelleher project (Tralee, Ireland) and the GE Engineering Services project (Atlanta, GA).• Led Sarbanes-Oxley 404 audit readiness efforts for the GE Consumer and Industrial Oracle finance modules (FA, GL, AR) as the Sarbanes-Oxley leader for the Global Oracle instance.

September 2003 to March 2004 - GE Security, Plainville, CT• Successfully led project to design and implement customer learning management system (Plateau LMS) in Boca Raton, Florida location of GE Security. Managed $300K budget including vendor assessment and 3 contract resources.• Led the IMLP communications committee for GE Industrial Systems and edited the monthly global newsletter.February 2003 to August 2003 - GE Industrial Systems, Fort Wayne, IN• Integrated European Headquarters business help desk in Barcelona, Spain with the GE global help desk in Hyderabad, India and Budapest, Hungary. Executed project in under 2 months while living in Barcelona. Worked hands-on with European business team and remotely with Indian help desk team.January 2002 – January 2003 - GE Industrial Systems, Plainville, CT• Led Single-Sign-On project for the global Siebel CRM instance.• Led reporting component of an Oracle Field Service implementation for GE Engineering Services in Atlanta, GA.• Lead software developer in converting sales configuration tool DES encryption from C++ to Java.
