New Beet has since been sold to a new owner, and has been re-branded.New Beet was a mission-driven eatery & marketplace, founded to employ, train and inspire young people to be productive members of our community. Profits went to support Seeds of Independence, a non-profit committed to ensuring that youth are on a pathway toward becoming independent and productive members of their community.

Evaluated and balanced new opportunities with the limitations of the existing organization and brand. Launched the sales channel for <5% of the quoted costs and in 10% of the time compared to competing consultants’ quotes.– Strategic planning, board development and culture integration consulting for a group of non-profits seeking to capitalize on shared unique real estate assets, mission synergies, and operational efficiencies.– Evolving a regional brand to grow in specific B2C niche markets. Developed marketing plans, built analytical tools and evaluated data for customer insights and sales opportunities.– Developing new physical products. Fostered relationships with manufacturing partners, suppliers and logistics to manage the process of creating, communicating and commercializing new products into the marketplace. Coached the client in preparation for going before Town Councils and related government committees, developed government-focused communication materials and lobbied elected officials on the merits of the projects.

Provided leadership to a diverse group of doctors, investors, engineers and social scientists through the process of transforming an idea into a profitable and sustainable business. Role included the facilitation of group working sessions, and providing guidance based on industry and start-up best-practices. Contributed to grant applications by generating written content appropriate for specific decision makers.

Recruited in 3rd year of college to join firm upon graduation. Developed and delivered Innovation Engineering® tools and systems, which increase the speed and decrease the risk of creating, communicating and commercializing meaningfully unique ideas. Deliverables to Fortune 500/100 clients included market research, sales forecasting, product concepts, concept evaluation, physical and digital prototyping, educational seminars, personal coaching and patent/trademark services. Responsibilities included the development of Innovation Engineering® teaching curriculum, marketing materials for sales, and website content which clearly communicated the benefits to an extremely diverse range of potential customers.
