In this role, I worked alongside International Volunteer HQ (IVHQ) in Antigua, Guatemala. I coordinated fundraising events to raise funds for rural schools in Antigua, Guatemala. I worked with the school and it's local staff to improve the educational, emotional, and hygiene conditions of the children. Additionally, I programmed games and activities to educate children on the importance of everyday hygiene and continuing their education.

Throughout my time in Siem Reap, Cambodia, I conducted research on instructional approached to teach English as a second language and the nature of corruption within the Cambodian education system. Additionally, I compiled teaching portfolios and daily lesson plans to utilize at Provincial Teacher Training College (PTTC) to strengthen the English skills of future Cambodian primary-school teachers.

Worked alongside Our Family Coalition, a San-Francisco based non-profit, advanced equity for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) families with children through support, education, and advocacy. Also, I participated in advocacy for the LGBTQ community through community outreach by contacting health centers and other non-profits throughout the San Francisco area.Also, I worked with A Long Walk Home (ALWH), a Chicago-based national non-profit, that implemented art to educate, inspire, and mobilize young people to end violence against girls and women. Throughout my time with ALWH, I was able to manage cleaning projects of several privately-owned shelters for homeless women and children that were also victims of domestic violence.
