Nathalie Korf holds a diploma degree for waste management and contaminated site treatment as well as a diploma degree for hydrology. She completed both study programmes in parallel at the Technische Universität Dresden. Her diploma theses covered the topics of organo-silicon compounds in landfill gases, and 2D fluorescence spectroscopy and spectral analysis of natural waters.From 2011 to 2012 she was employed as research and teaching assistant at the Chair of Environmental Technology/Environmental Management, Institute for Infrastructure and Resource Management at the Universität Leipzig. Here she collaborated in an international project dealing with Integrated Waste Water Resources Management. Additionally, she contributed to teaching and education in lectures and seminars.After the successful completion of the project she left the Universität Leipzig and worked for the Mattersteig & Co. Ingenieurgesellschaft für Verfahrenstechnik und Umweltschutz mbH in Kulkwitz near Leipzig, an engineering firm conducting emission measurements of air pollutants in industrial facilities. At this position, she collaborated in measurements in waste treatment facilities and was also assigned to quality management and quality assurance.In parallel, Nathalie Korf started working as a research and teaching assistant at the Chair of Waste Management (since 2016: circular economy and recycling technology), Institute for Environmental Technology at the Technische Universität Berlin.Her main field of research are a harmonised inventory for secondary raw materials in the EU, data collection, and statistical data interpretation as well as methods for characterising and analysing materials (EU Project ProSUM). Her teaching activity encompasses the supervision of bachelor and master theses, combining her field of research with current issues of circular economy and recycling.
