As the CEO of FinGreen in Ecuador, I lead a consultancy focused on financing sustainable businesses and projects. FinGreen operates through two key lines of work. The first is our fintech division, FinEnergy, which specializes in securing funding for the transition to sustainable energy sources for companies and real estate projects with financing needs of up to $8 million. The second line of work involves providing consulting services to help businesses and projects access competitive international financing options with medium-term horizons. Our mission is to promote sustainability and support the growth of environmentally responsible initiatives in the region.

As the Chairman of the Board for our new fintech company in Ecuador, I am dedicated to driving our mission of providing fast and competitive online financing solutions to businesses, sustainable real estate projects, and renewable energy generators. In the context of Ecuador's current energy crisis, our initiatives are crucial for fostering economic growth and promoting sustainability. By facilitating access to capital, we aim to empower innovative projects that not only address immediate energy challenges but also contribute to a greener, more resilient future for the country.

Director of the Diploma in Innovative Public Policies, which was designed by the Center for Competitiveness and Innovation and the UESS Professional Education.The objective of the Diploma is to prepare professionals for an innovative design of public policies and for transparent and high-impact management.

Through this fellowship I will consult on the development of the GFCC by advising on GFCC initiatives and projects to enhance competitiveness and innovation particularly in Latin America, advising the GFCC Board and Executive Team, and assisting in expanding the GFCC global network.A GFCC Fellowship is an invite-only position. GFCC fellows are selected by the GFCC Board based on contributions they have made to their respective countries and the global competitiveness agenda.

Educate is an International EDTECH dedicate to enhance quality of Education in South America, through the use of our personalized e.learning platform APCI and teacher training. We have operations in Ecuador and Uruguay. Recently, our program #MásTecnología was named in a Report of the WorldBank as the technology application program with higher impact on education in the world measured as increased of math and language scores.

I was invited by the ILO to chair the discussion of experts delegated by Governments, Labor Organizations and private sector to reach an agreement in the definition of living wage. I was very excited to chair such an important discussion and that finally they reached consensus on the principles and definitios of living wage.

Since 2017, I have been a professor of master's and diploma programs at the School of Government of the University of the Hemispheres. I have taught courses on how to successfully design and implement public, public and private partnerships and women's leadership.

I was part of experts from all Latin American countries, who worked together with CONACYT (National Council of Science and Technology), INECC (National Institute of Climate Change) Mexico, CAMEXA (Mexican-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry), AMEXGEN ( Mexican Association of Energy Companies, UNAM (Mexico) Institute of Ecology of UNAM, COLCIENCIAS (Science Technology and Innovation of Colombia, MINAMBIENTE of Colombia, SENESCYT (Ecuador), ESPOL Ministry of Science and Technology of Costa Rica (MICITI), Sustainability Agency and Climate Change of Chile and the MESCEY of the Dominican Republic to analyze innovation systems and their exchange with climate change systems, to obtain concrete and practical recommendations for policy measures to promote the supply and demand of activities for the development, transfer and adoption of ecologically responsible technologies.

I participated in the project “Mechanisms and Networks for Climate Change Technology Transfer in Latin America and the Caribbean” as an expert on innovation and green technologies, as a basis for the document “policy recommendations for integrating Environmentally Sound Technologies (ESTs) in National Innovation Systems. I participated in three workshops in Mexico, Guatemala and Ecuador, particularly in the component of identifying appropriate policies and instruments to promote regulatory, legislative and institutional changes aimed at promoting ESTs in the NIS. I participated in the targeting, validation and dissemination phases of the study. The specific objectives that the experts had to accomplish are the following:To share ideas among the participating sectors (NIS government, climate change government, private sector and academic sector), on the institutional arrangements and governance mechanisms of the NIS, the current conditions of incentives and resources that the systems offer for the promotion, development, innovation and integration of RETs.- Identify the contributions that NIS can make to accelerate the introduction of ESTs and the fulfillment of the Nationally Determined Contributions assumed by the countries of the region.- To present concrete examples of NIS policies that are contributing to the transfer and adoption of ESTs.- To provide ideas on the optimal functioning of the NIS.

Design and implementation of a bilateral agenda based on mutual strategic interests in trade, science, investment attraction and technological cooperation and the fight against transnational crime.Oversight of trade offices and their strategy for attracting investment and promoting exports.Three bilateral agreements were signed to protect the labor rights of Ecuadorians working in the United States, to prevent discriminatory policies and to promote scientific cooperation.A network of U.S. companies interested in trade and investment in Ecuador was developed.

I lead the Board of Production, Competitiveness and Employment comprise of the minister of Trade, Industry, Agriculture, Tourism and public financing institutions. In charge of design and overseeing implementation of the Agenda of Production Transformation as well as Ministries performance.Design and implementation of competitiveness policies, productive development programs such as Emprende and Innova Ecuador, and productivity improvement policies integrated in the plan called Ecuador Productivo 2025, whose objective was to promote the attraction of US $21 billion in private investment to boost the growth of the main export sectors.I led the design of a new public-private partnership law approved by the Assembly in September 2015, as a strategy to revitalize private sector investment, particularly in public infrastructure and urban development projects.

Responsible for launching the first Social Development Agenda 2007-2012 with a strong focus on structural reforms in education and economic inclusion policies.Design and implementation of economic inclusion projects, which used public procurement as a tool, accompanied by assistance for productivity development, training and access to financing

I have performed a number of consultancies in several Latin American countries such as Guatemala, Suriname, Guyana, Bahamas and Ecuador. Among the topics of my consultancy are: design of competitiveness and innovation operations for Ecuador (2003-2006) and Guyana (2006-2007), design of social development operations related to education and technology for Suriname and Bahamas (2006-2007).

I worked on multiple contracts with the IDB to provide advice on a range of subjects, including: creating a plan for social development in Guatemala; being a member of the team that created a plan for the reform of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Surinam; creating a plan for the reform of higher education in the Bahamas; and participating in the team that worked on a number of innovation-related topics, including business climate, promoting competitiveness, and innovation in Ecuador.

designed the content for Jeffrey Sachs’ classes on globalization and sustainable development and Michael Porter’s classes on competitive strategies for an online learning university project. This was the first effort to design virtual classes to increase the number of students who could learn, given that they were always in high demand and it was necessary to prioritize who could take the class.

I directed the Ecuador modernization of state program financed by the World Bank. This was a US.30 million program aimed to modernize key institutions of the state such as the Minister of Finance, the Tax Collection Agency (SRI), The Presidency among others. We implemented the SIGEF software system for all monetary transactions, as wella as provide the infrastructure for access to internet.

I lead the team that design and implement a cash transfer program to the poorest households of Ecuador. We implemented this program that reaches 1.2 million of households in record time, using technology to capture the data, to run the database with other data bases and to create bank payments to beneficiares accounts. This was the first cash transfer program of this kind in Latina America. This program still runs in Ecuador as it was design.

I have a 10 year carrier at Banco Union until I became VP of Investments. I started as a currency trader, then as director of the currency and investment office, as Investment Manager and finally as Vicepresident of the Bank.
