About Nathalie Mathe

I am a pioneering VR creative director/producer and a globally recognized consultant, lecturer, and public speaker. A former NASA AI scientist and visual effects artist, I combine my artistic talents with a solid scientific and technical background to explore new frontiers in Virtual Reality storytelling and embodiment. I am the founder of NativeVR, an independent VR studio in California focused on creating immersive experiences with a transformative and social impact, generating a more diverse and equitable future. Lately I am creating innovative programs that foster skills development for resilient leadership, neuro-diversity, and responsible tech.My interactive VR film UTURN, a comedy raising awareness on the gender gap in the tech industry, was nominated for best interactive experience at the Raindance and FIVARS festivals and screened at a dozen international film festivals. I contributed to more than 40 VR projects as director or post-prod supervisor for Google, Facebook, JauntVR, Condition One, and World Vision, and created visual effects for feature films like Fast & Furious 6, Skyfall and Dark Knight Rises. I have taught VR & Immersive Media at UC Berkeley, Drexel University and University of the Arts.
