Main responsibilities will include:- Technical support on identification, development and implementation of disability initiatives in the context of COVID-19 response and beyond- Strategically positioning the UN Disability Inclusion Strategy (UNDIS) within UNFPA organization and programme- Generating, managing and promoting the use of knowledge and information including working closely with the Regional Offices to support roll out of the disability Guidelines and tools, and facilitating internal and external communication to raise visibility with partners and UNFPA staff on the “We Decide” Initiative, and explore how innovation can be applied to this work.

Project started in Aalto University, aims at establishing a social enterprise in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, that will offer affordable sanitations services to people living in slums. Revenue will come from selling organic fertilizers to farmers and gardeners. Project was funded by the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs until 2016. Currently, it makes part of the Climate-KIC Greenhouse Programme from Impact Iglu at Aalto University.My tasks include:o Planning and designing a Logical Framework identifying available resources, planned activities, and desired impacts in the project.o Co-creating business model and prototyping the business model for local groups working on sanitation.o Designing and facilitating trainings to local community on entrepreneurship, business planning, marketing & sales, product development, packaging & labeling. Community groups trained show great enthusiasm to business opportunities and are actively looking for potential customers. o Designing evaluation surveys to measure progress of the project. This task included the design of relevant indicators and questions, and the training of local staff for implementing survey.o Dialogue with project stakeholders such as local authorities, NGOs, Embassies, Universities, Community based groups.
