Cal Poly SLO Educated | PE & SE LicensedNathan Hicks joined TYLin | Silman Structural Solutions in 2009 as the recipient of the Silman Fellowship for Preservation Engineering. As part of the fellowship he spent six months at the National Trust for Historic Preservation, working at the headquarters in DC. Nathan spent the majority of his career in TYLin's DC office, but recently moved back out west to head up the new Building sector presence in Southern California. Nathan strives for collaboration among all team members and stakeholders through his management of new construction, adaptive reuse, preservation and renovation projects for a diverse group of clients. In particular Nathan has worked on a considerable number of NPS, GSA, Smithsonian and Amtrak projects.Projects he has been involved with include the Statue of Liberty, US Capitol, Washington Union Station, Lincoln Memorial, Mount Vernon, Michigan Central Station, Smithsonian Castle, Mission San Juan Capistrano, CU Boulder's Old Main, and Six Senses Napa.
