Supervisor position that leads a team of two or more in a stressful and high risk environment. This position includes quick decision making with safety in mind for the overall positive outcome of the team and citizens/visitors, recording data on a computer for maintenance, training, or other activities performed, typing of reports for each incident responded to, and performing shift training. Situations faced include the use of hand tools of various sizes and functions, heavy lifting, power tools, and operating large vehicles or machines. A strong communication skill is needed for the purpose of effectively communicating tasks, reports, or general messages using a radio, e-mail, letter, or face to face.

Delivering of curriculum based education to classes of up to thirty or more students. A majority of classes include the use of a slide show and developing a presentation with a lesson plan. This position is not only classroom based but goes remotely or on site to instruct students with hands on training. All classes taught are to follow a standard associated with the topic if available such as NFPA or OSHA. A strong verbal communication skill is needed in this position along with the ability to effectively communicate in other ways such as email or letters.
