I work under the guidance and directive of the Principal Engineer to create 3D models, detailed drawings, and technical notes of steel structures for customers in the Industrial, Manufacturing, Defense, and Commercial industries.

At this role my main responsibility is processing Commercial and Government jobs. This includes creating work packages for the different areas of our processing structure; by breaking down customer supplied drawings and CAD into useable data, drawings, and CAD/CAM/NC files. I assist in design of mechanical systems, structures, and tooling per customer requirements using 3D modeling, 2D CAD, and CAM software. I work closely with our management and fabrication teams to assess manufacturability of jobs and processes to make sure jobs stay on schedule and within budget.

I currently fabricate original designs to my customers specifications. I specialise in metal and wood fabrication. I am responsible for products ranging from jewellery and ornamental pieces to lighting and furniture.

I worked with the New Product Development Team focusing on the design manufacturability, design improvement, and prototyping. I worked manipulating 3D models, collecting data on builds, prototyping, and utilising the gained information to present design changes and process improvements. I designed and built jigs and fixtures to help with continuous improvement within the company. I performed research and development projects as need for tooling and manufacturing processes.
