Procurement of circa £7.5m of goods p.a. from numerous overseas suppliers using foreign currencies.Forecasting and analysing quantity and value of goods required with assistance from Brand Managers, to maximise sales potential.Raising and expediting supplier purchase orders, reconciling supplier invoices and managing supplier payments.Provide accurate spend forecasts per brand based on actual and projected purchase orders.Creating and managing new products using internal stock system.Managing brand/product price structures Responsible for accurate and reliable goods in receipt.Manage and process accurate inventory cycle counts and annual count for circa £3m stockvalue. Responsible for maintaining a series of monthly key data reports for which an advanced level of Excel is required.Identifying potential product/purchase risk and offering solutions.Managing freight and logistics for all goods inSupplier and freight forwarder relationship management and negotiation.

The postholder will be responsible for all suppliers within an assigned commodity base, providing support on tactical accounts whilst actively managing the top 20 suppliers within this portfolio on areas such as pricing (reductions/increases), stock holding, capacity planning, risk mitigation,obsolescence, quality issues, LTAs/buffer stock agreements/NDAs etc.Create and develop a commodity specific strategy ensuring areas of risk are identified, addressed and where possible mitigated. Short/medium and longterm plans addressing cost and lead time reductions to be created and managed until implementation. The postholder will be required to manage projects fully by means of carrying out the necessary analysis, market research, issuing RFQsetc.The postholder will also be expected to travel to suppliers within the UK and overseas as and when required, sometimes at short notice.Project managing outsourcing activities and small NPI projects (A&D) Liaise with tactical procurement team regularly to set up agreed replenishment methods e.g. consignment stock, buffer stock, lead time agreements etc.Hold regular face to face supplier meetings and internal stakeholders including Engineering/Operations.
