    TStreet is an international language translation and communications company headquartered in Brisbane Australia.I was bought into TStreet because while they had spent millions of dollars building their technology and IP portfolio over the previous 5 years, they were not getting traction (customers). It was my job to find out why their products were not selling, fix those issues and get customers.To solve that, 1. I rebranded the business2. Developed the IP to translate the formatting of a document, not the text, which reduced translation times by up to 90% and allowed people to get a document that looked the same in any language.3. Created the T Code that allows for any document to be accessible in another language or format.4. Worked to create the tech stack with the CTO that made TStreet's IP accessible to its customers.4. Expanded their customer base to Europe, America & Asia5. Got household names using their tech, like Australia Post and Visy.It was an incredible journey, to work with people so passionate about translation and communications, to create IP and tech that can make a difference in millions of peoples lives and to create a brand that could find itself on every document on the planet.

    TerraCom is a multi-national mining company with thermal and coking coal mines in Queensland and South Africa. They are listed on the ASX:TERI was bought into TerraCom to solve several technical challenges they had been having for some time within the global business and also at their Blair Athol Coal Mine.1. I modernised their entire businesses global IT Infrastructure, implementing Office 365 across the entire business and shut down any systems that did not adhere to the new IT operating environment.2. I replaced their existing IT Services Partner and bought in a new provider who could support their new infrastructure as well and continue to modernise their IT in line with technical advancements.3. I got to troubleshoot and solve many of the connectivity issues that come with having connected, modern mining equipment, including their dragline and excavators.4. I decommissioned a significant amount of legacy equipment at their Blair Athol Mine, that was no longer required. This streamlined operations and made it easy to repair & service their IT infrastructure on site.It was an incredible opportunity to make a difference to a global mining company, with operations in Australia and South Africa. To know that the work I was doing was making a difference not just in Australia and South Africa but in all the places that use TerraCom's coal was being used was great. I worked out that TerraCom was making a difference to millions of people everyday with their high quality coal products.

    Reddog Technology was a multi-national IT Department as a service business founded in 2002. It focused on providing ultra high quality IT Departments to its customers. It used mainly Apple products and correctly predicted the explosion in use of Apple technology, including its laptops, desktops and iPhone when most organisations were using Blackberry and Microsoft products.Reddog Technology was developed as an IT Department as a service business, well before IT Departments as a service existed. We developed the business to make sure that all the risk of IT was on us, to make it beneficial for the business to create IT solutions that were highly reliable. We did this because at the time, most IT companies charged an hourly rate and we found there was no incentive for them to be highly efficient. We developed a statistical model to predict pricing, because there was no existing information on how to price an IT Department based on the equipment and services a business used.My role at Reddog was as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for our customers, who are medium to large public or private corporations. We are a global organisation, providing IT Departments and Services in Australia, Europe, American, Asia & Africa. I founded Reddog Technology with Jason Rudolph, whom I met when we studied at the University of Queensland. We started working on what would become Reddog Technology in 2002.Through my experience at Reddog Technology, I've worked as CTO at Board/Executive level for many private and publicly listed companies both in Australia and overseas. I lead a complete technical restructure of the entire business as well as moving their entire organisation from their existing location to new modern facilities. We replaced every piece of technology in the business and guided the entire organisation through a reeducation program around their technology. As the business expanded and new staff and technology was required, they were moved into new, larger facilities. At one point, we moved the business to a new 3 story location in a single weekend.

    Patinack Farm was (until sold) a national thoroughbred racing stud, at its height it was the largest locally owned horse stud in Australia.I was the Chief Technology Officer for Patinack Farm from the start of operations, we started by registering the domain name and built their entire IT Department from there. Within a few months Patinack Farm had hundreds of employees across over 15 sites located throughout Australia, with a significant portion of the workforce being mobile. When the iPhone was released in Australia in July 2008, we used it to assist Patinack Farm to expand quickly throughout the country. When hotspotting from your phone became allowed on the Telstra network, we rolled it out throughout the business. At our peak, we managed hundreds of Apple iPhones. To further assist the rapid expansion of Patinack Farm and its related entities, we rolled out a custom VOIP phone system, which connected many sites together and required little to no technical knowledge to physically service.There were many firsts required that allowed Patinack Farm to be the largest locally owned horse stud in Australia within months of it being founded.

I was also Chief Technology Officer of Aston Resources, which was also sold to Whitehaven Coal in a $2.77 billion dollar deal. It was an incredible experience to work with such a diverse, entrepreneurial group of people who together created hundreds of millions of dollars worth of value.

    Aston Resources (ASX:AZT) was an Australian public mining company focused on the mining of coal at its flagship asset, Mauls Creek. It was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange under the code AZT. It was sold to Whitehaven Coal (ASX:WHC).I was the Chief Technology Officer of Aston Resources from its founding until it was sold to Whitehaven Coal (ASX:WHC) in a $2.77 Billion dollar deal in 2012. It was an incredible experience to build from scratch the technical infrastructure required to develop, model and then sell such a huge coal resource. It was an incredible experience to take a resource worth $480 million dollars and turn it into a $2.77 billion dollar deal within 4 years. The rate at which the team worked was incredible, many incredibly experienced people working in unison to build incredible value. To stand in the boardroom with these incredibly capable people and make multi million dollar decisions at what felt like the speed of light was incredible, especially at the age of 28 years old.Some of the technology highlights:1. We developed highly specialised technology to assist in the modelling of the coal resource. 2. We looked at how we could connect the Maules Creek site to the existing fibre optic network in Australia. 3. We looked at how the Mauls Creek site could be developed as a working mine and how we would implement technology throughout the site.4. We developed the initial operations at Boggabri with the goal of making the management technology there the same as it would be on site and throughout the world.5. We implemented our custom developed VOIP phone system throughout the business and each one of its sites.6. We implemented Apple iPhones, which had only been released a few months earlier in Australia to aid the incredibly mobile workforce.7. The company operated on all Apple equipment except for only a few situations where Microsoft Windows was required.
