In January 2023 the Creative Market brand split from Dribbble to operate independently. I continue to work primarily on the Fontspring.com brand, which now operates as part of Creative Market instead of Dribbble.My title was updated alongside this organizational change to formally recognize my updated job responsibilities which began while at Dribbble. In this new role I focus solely on front-end development, whereas previously my time was split between UI/UX and front-end development.

In January 2022 my previous employer, Fontspring, was acquired by Dribbble. At Dribbble I continued to make Fontspring.com the best marketplace for fonts.Initially I continued juggling product design alongside front-end development. As the Fontspring and Dribbble teams integrated my focus narrowed to solely front-end web development.While at Dribbble I implemented a complete visual rebrand of Fontspring.com, began modernizing the front-end architecture, and worked on search engine and site speed optimizations that substantially increased organic traffic.

Wilmington, Delaware, United States

Led UX/UI design & front-end development efforts at Fontspring to make Fontspring.com the easiest and most beautiful platform to browse, purchase, manage, and sell fonts.Responsibilities include solving user experience issues, creating new user flows, designing user interface components and leading front-end development.Major projects included: redesigning the account navigation, overhauling the type tester to use web fonts instead of images, redesigning the experience of managing purchased fonts and past orders, and designing and implementing an overhauled checkout experience.

Taught online courses in “User Experience and Interface Design” (Fall 2019 and Fall 2020) and “Web II” (Spring 2021) for the “Visual Communication: Interactive Web Design” major at Cedarville University.Responsibilities included: assigning course material and instruction, guiding class discussions, providing feedback and assistance to students, and grading.In “UX and Interface Design” students learned how to conduct user research and how to test interaction concepts through rapid prototyping techniques and high-fidelity interactive prototypes. We covered how affordances and signifiers contribute to usable interfaces, and how to go beyond pure usability by crafting enjoyable experiences that users love. I also helped students refine their UI design skills by providing feedback on projects to redesign a website and design a mobile app.In “Web II” students practiced using the HTML and CSS they learned in Web I. I instructed them in modern techniques for creating semantic markup; organized, reusable CSS; and resilient responsive layouts. Through individual feedback I provided on their code, students gained confidence and craftsmanship in modern frontend web development.

Cedarville, Ohio

Served on the Student Government Board of Directors and Oversaw Visual Identity for all Student Government Programs and Events. Responsibilities Included:- Designing the 2018–19 Student Government Administration (SGA) brand identity.- Creating digital display graphics, social media graphics, posters, and print materials that were displayed across the university campus.- Providing creative direction to a committee of six designers and marketers who worked with me to promote Student Government events.

Worked with the Web Services Department at Cedarville University. Responsibilities Included:- Keeping the University’s website up-to-date with new content, ensuring that it was error-free and consistent across pages.- Corresponding with multiple departments across campus to help them realize their website-related needs.- Professionally representing the Web Services department to our clients.(Position held intermittently August 2016 to May 2017 and August 2017 to May 2018)

Worked as an intern with the Fontspring team both remotely as part-time help and full-time in the office. Responsibilities Included:- Designing the user interface for a new internal web application- Writing the front-end code (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) for the web application- Implementing the application’s server-side functionality (notes, data storage, PTO requests, and time tracking) using PHP with the Codeigniter framework and MySQL- Analyzing the analytics of fontspring.com and auditing the website for issues- Developing concepts and design solutions to address potential issues and explore new opportunities- Designing and implementing an updated header for fontspring.com to enable easier navigation and improve the user experience on mobile(Position held intermittently January to August, 2017 and May to July, 2018)

Worked with the team at Wendy’s in Kennett Square, PA as a crew member. Responsibilities Included:- Accurately and efficiently fulfilling customer’s orders- Preparing food in advance so the team could work quickly during rush hours- Cooking food and communicating with other team members to ensure their were no shortages- Keeping cooking and prep areas clean and sanitary- Cleaning the kitchen area and dining room throughout the day and at closing- Training new crew members- and taking care of whatever else needed to be done, like emptying the trash or refilling machines(Position held intermittently June to August, 2015 and May to August, 2016)
