As External Affairs Coordinator for the University Students' Council at Western University, I support the Vice-President External Affairs by conducting research, drafting policy, and assisting with federal, provincial, and municipal advocacy initiatives. Collaborates with organizations such as OUSA and UCRU to address student priorities, including transit, health and wellness, off-campus safety, and financial assistance. Manages relationships with key stakeholders and contributes to strategic advocacy efforts across all levels of government.

The CBSA offers a unique job experience working in a law-enforcement environment at international airports and mail processing centers in cities across the country. Student border services officers (SBSOs) receive hands-on experience to help keep cross-border travel and commerce efficient by learning how to apply over 100 laws and to determine the admissibility of people and goods to Canada.
