Highlights of experience and activities include:• SME in design and certification of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII, Divisions 1, 2, and 3.• Working knowledge and experience with ASME B31.3 Process Piping, API storage tanks (API 620, 650, & 653), API fixed equipment standards (API 510, 570 and 653), API 579-1/ASME FFS-1 Fitness for Service, ASME PCC-2 repairs, and NBIC NB-23.• Completed numerous projects for the rerate or alteration of pressure vessels per API 510 or NBIC NB-23.• Developed repair/alteration plans and provided technical oversight as Certifying Engineer for ASME VIII, Div. 2 equipment.• Performed bolted joint flange assessments and troubleshooting utilizing ASME PCC-1 Appendix O, WRC Bulletin 538, VIII Div. 1 Appendix 2, and VIII Div. 2 Part 4.16.• Performed Level 1, 2, and 3 fitness for service assessments, detailed pressure design calculations, lifting calculations, and design by analysis (FEA) for complex geometry, fatigue, creep, vibration, and other failure modes.• Provided general turnaround support for refinery and chemical facilities.• Supported capital project work to replace FCCU Reactor and Regenerators and other complex equipment.• Performed fabrication shop assessments for capabilities and quality.• Proficient in a variety of design, analysis, and drawing/modeling software packages.

Perform calculations according to the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII, Division 1 & 2 for Pressure Vessels and Heat Exchangers. Utilize Pressure Vessel and Heat Exchanger design software COMPRESS and PV Elite to assist in ASME Code calculations.Perform calculations according to ASME B31.3 and API 650/653. Worked in close connection with the Project Manager and coordinated with QC, Engineering, and Purchasing on a daily basis to oversee the fabrication and testing of ASME certified pressure vessels. Completed or reviewed fabrication drawings and sketches. Performed occasional calculations for structural supports, lifting, shipping, and ASME code acceptance.

Developed layout designs for steel pressure vessel nozzle and attachment locations. Utilized SolidWorks to design bevel details for steel vessels up to 10.5" thick. Used laser survey system to ensure the correct fit-up of a complex reactor system over a length of 2,250".

Coordinated with production personnel and management daily to ensure correct and quality soy isolate product was produced. Also worked with contractors to schedule miscellaneous maintenance projects throughout the MSP and MS2P production plants. Major Project: completed inlet/outlet duct revamp of Vibratory Fluidized Feed Dryer to fix leaking heated air flow.
