My journey began with a fascination for the human body and helping injured workers return to work through rehabilitation. Soon after, ergonomics become my passion as I shifted my focus on preventing work injuries before they occurred. What Drives Me? I thrive on understanding the delicate balance between well-being and performance. It’s not just about comfy chairs and adjustable desks (although those matter too!). It’s about designing workplaces that empower individuals, enhance productivity, and minimize the risk of injuries. Whether it’s a bustling factory floor, a serene office, or a sprawling agricultural field, I’m there, armed with data, principles, and a dash of creativity.My Toolbox: Theory, Principles, and Practical Wisdom Ergonomics isn’t just theory—it’s practical. I wield the 'tools' of anthropometry (the science of measuring humans), biomechanics (how our bodies move), and cognitive psychology (how our minds process information) to identify complex problems and help solve them. From guidance on workstation heights to optimizing assembly line processes, I’m all about that sweet spot where comfort meets efficiency.Where You’ll Find Me: Catch me collaborating with management, engineers, production supervisors, and boots on the ground with workers themselves. I’m the one advocating for change that will have the greatest impact. And yes, I’ve been known to point out and fix peoples awkward postures and inefficiencies at family functions and dinner parties (don’t judge!).My Playground: Manufacturing, Agriculture, and Beyond The beauty of ergonomics lies in its versatility. Drawing experience from a variety of environments provides an outside perspective with creative solutions that may not have been thought of before. "I never though of that" is something I hear all the time. I've spent time in manufacturing plants, ensuring welders don’t feel like pretzels. I’ve wandered through innovative greenhouses, pondering the perfect strawberry picking solutions. And I’ve roamed thousands of offices, pondering keyboard heights and monitor solutions that best suit workers. Every sector has its unique rhythm, and I’m here to help fine-tune it.Let’s Connect!
