At Horizon Bay- San Marcos as a Kitchen Utilities Associate my responsibilities include customer service, program planning, facilities management, recycling, and office duties. Work lead to the understanding of the need for those living in a senior living center.

While at Texas State University- San Marcos I had the privilege to be a Resident Assistant (RA). With the RA position I had the opportunity to help in the development of incoming and concurrent students. It lead to a desire to help prospective students to better know the university they planned to attend. This included but is not limited to the various sources to help with academic achievement, community service, and job acquisition. Other than being associated with this professional organization I had the privilege to be a member of the university's Lambda organization. The organization/club was an outlet for students and allies that associated with the LGBTQ community. This organization helped LGBTQ students achieve academic success, and an outlet to freely express themselves.Both of the these organizations were an outlet for myself and others to network with like-minded individuals.
