The Strava Metro Data Analysis Commission is one of the projects undertaken by the association's Research Working Group. The project involves:• Studying Strava Metro data to gain insights into cycling patterns.• Developing a robust methodology for analyzing georeferenced variables related to cyclomobility.• Generating statistical data to support cycling infrastructure planning.• Scaling the methodology to multiple Brazilian cities, enabling consistent data generation across regions.I have been responsible for the Rio de Janeiro region, collaborating closely with team members and representatives from other organizations. Together, we developed a methodology corresponding to the local needs, and generated data, maps and reports supporting the city’s current cycling infrastructure expansion plans.
