I do quite a bit of freelance audio repair work. I have worked with Ken Herish at Orphan Audio working on vintage QuadEight and Electrodyne modules working with them to develop new products.

My daily tasks include the production of all of AEA's preamps: RPQ2, TRP2, and RPQ500 as well as the production and testing of the active microphone circuits. I am also involved with design work as and documentation reviews.I have been on the development team of the N22, N8, and was the lead designer on the KU5A. When I first started I hand built the prototype RPQ500 preamps and learned about surface mount soldering. As part of the development team for the RPQ2 and TRP2 I in charge of all the mechanical design work for the chassis. I had to integrate the requests for sales and marketing team with circuit designer and PCB layout contractor. Working with our contract manufacture to get boards loaded I had to provide them with all the proper documentation. Working with our sheet metal supplier I learned about proper drawing standards as well as different metal types. While working on these projects I also was taking classes at PCC in Solidworks and machining. I have honed my skills with Solidworks, KiCAD (PCB Layout), Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Excel. I have also done some video production with Adobe Premiere, and audio production with Logic.
