With a diverse background working in Workplace Management, the food industry, and as a performer, audio engineer and music producer I have gained a rich and diverse set of skills that have allowed me to adapt and excel in new situations. My experience both professionally and creatively have imparted to me a keen attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the desire to always learn new things.My education has been led by my interests and I have engaged in a variety of experience based learning environments. Firstly my self designed B.A. through Empire State University allowed me the opportunity to work hands on in one-on-one mentorships with professional musicians studying drums, keyboards, music theory and music production. My degree program also covered the business practices, economics and publishing laws that govern the changing modern music industry. My interest in food and environmentalism led me to working in restaurants and eventually working directly on Organic vegetable farms. My time as a farmer taught me what it means to work hard and the importance of organic practices in the increasingly industrialized agriculture economy. I have also traveled throughout the southern united states as a part of Helpx, a social network that connects travelers with hosts via the internet to establish work exchange relationships. As a Helpx helper I worked on sustainable permaculture farms, urban homesteads and experienced first hand a functional model for mutually beneficial exchanges between hosts and helpers. Working in both front and back of house roles in restaurants has instilled in me the value of customer service, anticipating and meeting the needs of the customer at all times, as well as the ability to work under pressure. Restaurants require keen attention to detail, time management, interpersonal skills, strong communication and the ability to keep it cool in a fast paced and sometimes chaotic work environment.As a creative I have performed as a drummer as well as collaborated as a audio engineer and music producer. Having spent many years honing my craft I have a very thorough understanding of Logic Pro, music production and professional audio. Working as a collaborator has also afforded me the opportunity to work closely with other creatives and strengthen teamwork skills.These roles and experiences have shaped me as an individual, and molded my mentality to work. I believe strongly in teamwork, efficiency, creativity, hard work and learning new things.
