Led the operational and financial requirements behind multiple capital raising activities including Convertible Notes raisings and presentations to prospective and current investors. As part of capital raising activities, undertook reverse due diligence on the Company to ensure as a scaling up business, all aspects of a robust business were in place as expected of current and potential investors. Key responsibilities included all cashflow forecasting, sales pipeline forecasting and cost management reporting to the Board to ensure resource priorities were in line with strategic objectives. This included implementation of multiple cost reduction initiatives reducing costs by greater than 30%.Operational and financial achievements included an overhaul of Board reporting processes and multiple successful submissions of Research and Development grants of in excess of $0.7m each. As COO led the prioritisation and cohesion of IT, Scientific, Operational and Sales activities to deliver strategic business priorities. As part of this, was responsible for all resourcing and people related activities. Other key achievements include navigating regulatory requirements to register myDNA for genetic testing in USA with the FDA and managing myDNA’s regulatory requirements with TGA in Australia.

Travelling around Australia with our 3 children was something that my wife and I prioritised for our family and we created life long memories. I was very grateful to SecurePay and Australia Post for the opportunities I was given and support I was provided. I have learnt so much and matured and developed. Led the growth and transformation of the SecurePay business. Key achievements included:- Oversaw the strategy development and execution of the Company, including the successful $15m technology upgrade to support revenue (increased 100% over 5 years), volume and employee growth (70 to 140 employees)- Led the restructuring of the Company and the transformation of the people management approach in the context of significant growth;- Successfully launched a key new product from idea to go-to market, driving revenue of $3m by Year 2;- Managed the successful acquisition and integration of POLi Payments ($10m acquisition), including succession planning for key staff and revneue growth;- Effectively managed key stakeholder relationships within Australia Post including the Australia Post MD/CEO, Board Audit and Risk Committee to deliver the $15m technology upgrade;- Led the management of relationships with PCI-DSS working group, including MasterCard, Visa and 4 major Australian banks through the $15m technology upgrade to maintain PCI-DSS obligations;

Managed financial integration and reporting of SecurePay in to Australia Post after acquisition by Australia Post. Key achievements included;- Broadening the role of finance within the business, with the establishment and communication of strategy, people policies and processes;- Implemented SalesForce CRM and sales incentive program;- Establishment of marketing strategy, brand and execution ($1m per annum);- Launching new product from idea to go-to market including legal negotiations with vendors, driving revenue of $0.4m by Year 2

Supported Executive General Manager - Finance and Business Services (Ewen Stafford) and his leadership team in the development and execution of strategy, financial targets, people plan and communications. This role included buidling relations with the senior leadership team of Australia Post and this lead to Richard Umbers (former CEO of Myer) appointing me as CFO of SecurePay after acquisition by Australia Post.

Business lead of successful $3m overhaul of investment planning, business case policy and processes and financial reporting. This involved bringing together stakeholders from central and divisional finance, project management community and IT.

As part of central finance worked with the business units in developing business cases for major internal capital investments up to $25m, including managing through the approavl process.Subsequent work included secondments to lead the due dilgence for potential acquisitions and then managing the $300m annual capital planning for Australia Post overall.

Worked in a corporate finance team across many sectors in the micro to mid-cap ASX-listed company space. Key achievements included:- Acquisition, IPO ($14m) and post-IPO corporate advisory of pharmaceutical business;- Establishing and working with Board of Directors in setting up the ASX listed company and setting strategy and direction for the business as it transformed from a private to public company;- Mariner held >40% of the business after IPO, so work continued with the CEO and Board;- During this time the market capitalisations grew from $14m to $150m (2017 market capitalisation $300m)Other advisory work included IPOs in aquaculture and digital media and capital raising in Pay TV and forestry

Graduate position to senior accountant in audit division, included gaining certification as a Chartered Accountant. Major clients included Amcor and Siemens, as well as more senior roles on smaller private companies.
