I support the different groups/departments in Wayside by managing the training courses conducted by various experts in specific topics and areas of the organization. I do this by identifying opportunities for training by working with the managers of each department as well as various experts within the organization. I also identify instructors, put together schedules of training courses, identify if the training classes are virtual, in-person learning, hybrids, or hand on/workshops. I also work with our shared services group to utilize whatever tool is needed to conduct and record these training sessions successfully.I also manage our Wayside Training and Test Lab, working with the Special Projects CAPEX budget for identifying and purchasing lab equipment and tools. Also, work with the managers and Project Engineers in utilizing the Wayside Training and Test Lab for needs.I also work with external resource companies to identify support opportunities and build and maintain an extension of our various groups to help manage the workload fluxation. With this, I work closely with the WPL’s on various projects within Wayside and our Supply Chain and Procurement groups. I also conduct training on specific internal Hitachi Tool for our external resources to utilize and become efficient and effective in the work they provide for Hitachi.

I manage a team of commissioning engineers that field test and cutover our equipment on the various rail customer properties. I work and collaborate with Project Engineers and Project Managers, along with Commissioning managers to ensure the projects have the necessary experienced resources to successfully ensure that our products are safe, reliable, and operating efficiently on the rails.

I coordinated with the different Project Engineers and Managers to leverage the resources under me to support the different needs of a project.
