A work placement over the summer gaining experience by working in the purchasing and planning department.I was given responsibilities of assigning paper work for new machines to be built; an attention to detail needed with creating paper work from start to finish. Any mistakes cost both time and money so the need for organisation was crucial. I brought organisation to this role as a I successfully completed paper work for a build lasting the rest of 2016 in a deadline before the end of August.

Offenbach, Germany

A 12-week internship in Offenbach, Germany this internship was an optional part of my study abroad year and by working in the Payroll services of the Germany team I have gained both business knowledge and experience of business internationally. Responsibilities included creating payroll projects and making processes as a part of a team for customers allowing more efficient and accurate ways of paying their own employees. Integrating recently merged companies, working with the benefits team and government payments schemes were also my roles. Communication and time management were improved when working in a team project and meeting deadlines.

My communication skills were tested during the discussions with team members and customers and these skills have been developed through experience. Team work is essential when providing an excellent service and in the last year of working I was given responsibilities in leading new staff members and taking control of stock replenishment.
