Since being promoted to the Health & Safety Director and Environmental Manager at GI Ltd, I am expected to implement the HSE standard to the highest quality. My aim is to build and maintain the Company’s excellent reputation with our current and future clients as well as represent the company's interests in a calm and professional manner at Director Level, both internally and externally. I write and produce Health, Safety & Environmental Plans for endorsement by myself and the Board of Directors, which reflects and contributes to GI’s business strategy. My responsibilities include but are not limited to:• Devising a robust regiment that continually meets all statutory requirements and in most cases exceeds the minimum requirement for ISO 14001:2004 OHSAS 18001 standards.• Delivering our company policies to all our staff and make sure that it is communicated, understood and implemented.• Understanding and committing to meeting our clients’ HSE standards, continually improving GI’s HSE record by challenging the status quo and seeking innovation to promote the highest standards.• Informing the Director’s Board of any forthcoming changes to legislation and how such changes could impact on the Plan and the core business strategy.• Leading any investigations on major incidents involving HSE issues and environmental incidents and consequently devising and implementing preventative measures to avoid the incident occurring again. This is then reported to the Board within the timescales set in the Business Continuity Plan.

I joined GI Ltd as Business Development Manager, taking responsibility for the end-to-end work winning process: from early client engagement, focusing on their outcomes and deriving clear value propositions. As well as this, I was responsible for leading the integration of our capabilities at GI Ltd and developing our integrated management system for our international standards 9001,14001 and OHSAS 18001.

I was employed to project manage a multi-million pound development in Weymouth, managing the entirety of the project from Health & Safety to choosing the correct contractors to undertake the works.I was also actively involved in every meeting with the local authority, highways and general public to make sure the development circulated as planned.

I supervised a team of 50 traffic management operatives making sure they delivered all of our customers requirements on a daily basis this included:Safety alerts from all our customers.Works planning and logistics.Daily Running of Business.Meetings with Clients.Managing vehicles.training of our operatives.

My role as a fully qualified electrician was to fit and repair electrical circuits and wiring at both residential and business properties. I also installed and maintained electrical equipment, instruments and machinery.

As a Communications Specialist in The Royal Navy, I was a critical part of the ship’s intelligence operation. I interpreted raw information into vital analysis and used global radio and satellite systems to transmit essential, and often classified, messages.
