Environmental Research June 2015-PresentAlternate Energy Research • Researched and hypothesized theoretical ideas on Betz law to determine if alternative wind energy was worthy of its intense amount of research by algebraically manipulating the equation. • Found that deep ocean currents hold a great intensity of energy by using flow and density.Potable Water Research• Began researching ways to purify water in harsh weather conditions and climates by studying basic and non-basic techniques regarding water purification. • Conceptually designed a dirigible water collection system by using aerodynamics, fluid dynamics, structural analyses, alternative energy, and weather data.Capstone Design Project (Westerly Town Beach Pavilion) September 2014-May 2015 University of Rhode Island, South Kingston, RI• Collaborated with the environmental team at BETA Group, Inc. to redesign the Westerly town beach pavilion that was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy.• Overcame the fundamental challenges of working alongside a team of nine colleagues and took a leading role in managing the timeline and quality of the project.• Presented our design with my team members in front of forty board engineers using a creative and engaging narrative.

Detailed mechanical and electrical survey experience includes:I. Survey and verification of the Biogen’s critical distribution systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, compressed air, acid waste, etc.) and the equipment which serves each discipline within the office and lab spaces throughout the campus. II. Verification took place by checking the field data against the electronic data found in Biogen’s computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for the manufacturer, model number, and serial numbers for the equipment and have been verified with photographs. Detailed maintenance management experience includes:I. Preventative maintenance schedules were checked and correct/added to the CMMS based on the operations and maintenance manuals for each piece of equipment. II. Job plans were attached to each preventative maintenance schedule, and equipment was added to each job list for the maintenance department at Biogen (which is contracted to CBRE) to perform the maintenance on a set schedule so that the equipment will finish its projected lifespan.Detailed project management experience includes:I. Projects which do not fall under the repair or maintenance category at Biogen were managed and completed by the engineering facilities team. Some repair projects would fall under this category due to the size of the project.II. Organization and scheduling of small, medium and large projects.III. Initiation of a walkthrough of the site and area in question for each project.IV. Reviewing the scope of the project and clarifying if any changes needed to be made before the purchase orders were issued.V. Writing of Job hazard assessment reports for contractors performing work on site.VI. Escorting of crews while on site.VII. Many of the projects that I have been an integral part of (30 completed, 3 substantially completed) were projects put on the shelf from management from years ago.

Detailed environmental field inspection experience includes: I. Inventory and Inspection of the RIDOT’s MS4 drainage system for attribute, operations, and/or environmental condition in accordance with the EPA Consent Decree and Appendices.II. Discharge monitoring, investigations of RIDOT outfalls and MS4 drainage system to find/verify/determine any illicit connections in accordance with the EPA Consent Decree and AppendicesIII. Training and management of inspectors/drivers/assets within the drainage project, by reviewing the inspection reports that were completed by other inspectors and providing a plan of action for the roads to be inspected.IV. Cost estimation for repairs needed on the RIDOT’s MS4 drainage system in accordance to the RIDOT standard details.
