Nathan began his commercial real estate career in 2004. Starting as a commercial real estate agent in Indianapolis, Indiana at a Coldwell Banker Commercial franchise. He specialized in off market land acquisitions and dispositions for industrial, office, retail and hospitality developers. Nathan became the Managing Broker of this office in less than two years and increased sales by 1100% while decreasing expenses by 50%. This experience helped Nathan easily transition into capital markets as an intermediary. Working for a developer in Los Angeles sourcing debt and equity for multifamily developments and adaptive reuse projects, Nathan quickly gained valuable capital markets experience. Working in house with a developer who had 80 construction personnel on the payroll accelerated Nathan’s understanding of construction execution, budgeting, governmental approvals, permitting, construction draw management and analysis, indemnifications, partial releases and much more. Sourcing both parts of the capital stack along with working with all parties involved in a development project provided experience that would have taken decades to achieve. Nathan then transitioned to a small boutique lending group originating loans for adaptive reuse projects, transactions that had a very large renovation budget compared to their current values, and conventional financing of stabilized properties. Nathan also was responsible for securing correspondent relationships and partnerships with institutional investors, so the company could fund private loans. Nathan has extensive experience in opportunistic and value add projects. Nathan brings tremendous experience with bridge, construction/construction completion and traditional commercial real estate loan experience to the team.
