Teaching Assistant for Igneous and Metamorphic Petrology (GEOL 365). Helping students identify minerals in hand specimens and in thin sections using optical microscopy (transmitted and reflected light). Interpretation of textural relationships between minerals and identifying characteristic assemblages for certain rocks (as well as plotting composition percentages on ternary plots to identify them). Constructing pressure-temperature curves and constraining metamorphic conditions based on mineral assemblages.

Teaching Assistant for Hydrogeology (GEOL/ENSCI 411/511). Helping students understand permeability and porosity and how they relate to groundwater systems. Constructing flow nets using equipotential lines of hydraulic head. Utilizing a Darcy column and Darcy's Law to perform experimental calculations. Field trips involving measuring hydraulic heads and constructing hydrologic maps of local water sources. Analysis of cross sections and waterloo diagrams to show parameter change with depth and lithology. Using Excel for data analysis and report writing, running ParticleFlow and TopoDrive programs to model groundwater systems.

General theater staff employee. Communicating with others and managing time effectively to ensure tasks were accomplished. Helped train newer employees in later years as more responsibilities were undertook.
