Employed as a design drafter, a collaborative role working alongside the company’s sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams. AWE is a leading specialist in engineered flow control equipment manufactured for wastewater treatment plants and stormwater applications. Using a range of Autodesk CAD software, I produce accurate engineering drawings and technical documentation deliverables.Duties Include:- Review job files to gain full understanding of all necessary project particulars;- Liaise with clients to clarify and finalise design details;- Ensure all drawings are clear, concise, accurate and in accordance with technical specifications and comply with AS 1100;- Undertake peer review of engineering drawings;- Develop, maintain and adhere to CAD standards and work procedures;- Keep up to date with current industry standards, codes, specifications and best practices;- Attend site visits to carry out surveys and measure ups;- Conduct critical design calculations and generate reports;- Ensure safety in design practice is considered and carried out where required, identifying potential hazards and controlling risks.

Initially employed as a junior engineer, I assisted the production team in processing patient scans for custom 3D printing of medical devices. Also, working alongside the senior engineer I assisted with commissioning a water-jet cutter and related R & D towards more efficient production. Soon after, I was promoted to production supervisor. In this role I managed a team of additive manufacturing technicians where I ensured tight quality control measures on all products and implemented strategies for process improvements. I was responsible for submitting a weekly report on production, liaising with clients, training new staff, managing stock-levels, and organising job schedules.Duties Included:- Ensuring all products meet quality standards and reporting on non-conforming products;- Updating and maintaining safe operating procedures for all production tasks;- Enforcing company policies and guidelines;- Ensuring production team achieves company goals by communicating expectations and evaluating job results;- Facilitating communication between technicians and upper management;- Determining ways for improving the manufacturing processes.

Employed as a graduate engineer with Synergia1, I worked alongside the engineering team and supervisor in a project management role. Synergia1 was undertaking numerous jobs at Cement Australia for the 2019 January shutdown. I assisted in the planning stage in December before the shutdown, as well as being onsite during the shutdown in a project management role, and hands-on technician. Duties included:- Contacting potential and existing suppliers- Drafting of job quotes- Researching and analysing client proposals, to evaluate feasibility, cost, and developing a potential solution- 3D Modelling- Updating project Gantt Chart, and time log for all jobs- Assisting in preparing safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)- Assisting in the oversight of installation, maintenance, and repair, ensuring that machines and equipment were installed and functioning according to specifications- Attending meetings with Cement Australia’s project supervisor on job progression- Hands-on work onsite
