 Manage a crew of 20 personal with various trades. Attend Supervisor Prestart Meetings with Management. Organise work fronts for the crew to coincide with Project Forecast and Priorities. Ensure the crew has the correct drawings and understanding of given tasks. Deliver Pre-start and Re Start safety discussions with the crew. Ensure Safety KPI’s are meet through Take 5’s and work place inspection check sheets. Read, review, and register work front JHA’s (risk assessments) Liaise with the client and discuss work scope objectives. Organise work packs for completions to be signed off by the client. Complete and submit crew timesheets.

A member of the Mechanical crew constructing Car Dumper 6 and 7 as a Mechanical Fitter. Install and align mechanical components, interpret drawings, mentor crew trades assistants and contribute to safety discussions.

Part of the Mechanical Fitter crew constructing a Greenfield Iron Ore Mine. Constructing and installing Conveyor belt modules, clocking trough and return rollers. Installing Agitators, installing and adjusting belt skirts. Alignment of drive motors. Assisting the commissioning contracting company with labour as needed.

Build and commission longwall and development conveyor belts for the extraction of coal from underground to the surface. Operate an Eimco articulated front end loader when required. Install drive motors and hydraulic cooling towers. Attend mechanical breakdowns as required.
