Nathan Curde is an Application Engineer who works with developers by providing support for test environments so they can run their integration tests in a common testing environment to prepare for deployment to production. After spending a decade with Amazon and six years with Expedia, Nathan has learned how to adapt to changing environments and problem solve in fast, decisive, and creative ways providing high availability for all forms of compute environments.Nathan has been recognized internally for developing and implementing monitoring systems for test environments within Expedia where there were none in place before which permitted the reduction of mean time to resolution. Nathan has experience in monitoring systems, and both Linux and Windows operating systems, virtual and physical computing platforms.Nathan holds an Associate Degree of Arts and Sciences in Computer Science from Bellevue College.Proven hard worker started as base level tech moving computers, advanced to Deskside support. End user support covered all aspects of systems used in the company from Windows and Linux desktop and laptop clients, printers and phone systems. Included work done in the Seattle Amazon.com Datacenter, providing support on a day to day and on-call basis.Moved from the Seattle area to Hebron, KY to gain experience in field support at an Amazon.com Distribution Center. Duties included support of end users in the nonstop customer facing environment where extended downtime due to IT Systems outage equates to millions of dollars loss to the company. Other duties included monitoring and planning of server room HVAC and power systems in the entire North American Distribution Center network. Implemented usage of Nagios and Cacti RRD systems to monitor the health of the power and cooling systems providing early warning of systems failure.
