I worked on developing functioning testing chambers (involves operating a high-vacuum pump system, temperature monitoring system, high voltage, data transferring) for photo-multiplier tubes and silicon photo-multipliers to use in developing novel detectors for scintillator-based experiments in nuclear physics and astrophysics. This involves everything from research and development, simulations, detector construction, to managing a lab space.Also, I instructed a virtual astronomy lab. The glaringly outdated software used was infuriating and was a turning point for me wanting to become a better educator.
