It is a “12 factor app” compliant container application designed to run in container orchestration environments such as Kubernetes and Openshift. It is designed to work in either customer infrastructure (customer bare metal or private cloud), as well as public cloud infrastructure. - Designer of the TIBCO Cloud “Live Apps” serviceThis is a “no code” BPM / DPA platform that provides BPM services as a cloud SaaS. This is a hugely scalable 12 factor app compliant microservices based application that is designed to provide these services efficiently, without wasting cloud resources. The service is intended to be utilized by business users without training or reading manuals. This service is based in AWS (Amazon Web Services) and is fully multi-tenant.- Designer of TIBCO “ActiveMatrix BPM” This is a BPM and SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) platform. - Designer of the TIBCO Nimbus Cloud ServiceThis system automatically instantiates and manages instances of the Nimbus enterprise product on demand. This service is based in AWS.I was responsible for fully defining and developing the architectural design for these products and services. I was also responsible for the definition of the product vision, in other words, how the requirements are realized and the philosophy behind the product or service.These system are implemented using Java/J2EE and JavaScript/TypeScript, including related XML and JSON technologies and open source products such as Spring, JAXB, Junit, Log4J, containers/Docker, Kubernetes, etc. Some small parts were also implemented using GoLang. This was a novel product that coordinates the execution of “one off” business processes in disparate business process management platforms as activities in an over-arching abstract business process, expressed as a project plan. These were designed to work in either pre-paid or post paid billing environments, supporting both small and large “tier 1” operators. I was responsible for the complete delivery of these projects. I was also responsible for the management of all staff on the project.I defined the application architecture and the technical “vision” for the rating system being developed. This included requirements capture, system/component partitioning and the mapping of the system into an “in house” distributed middleware based technical architecture.The production of this system required a multi disciplinary team, involving at different times UI designers, usability experts and a multitude of differently skilled design/implementation engineers (the system was implemented using C++, Java, Visual Basic, COM, CORBA, J2EE and RDBMS, among other technologies).
