I am a Sun Certified Web Component Developer. I’ve had 19 years of designing / developing / deploying / and maintaining software solutions. For the last 2 years I've worked as a Principal Software Engineer for Ameritas Insurance. Prior to that, I worked 12 years, I’ve worked in Enterprise Content Management division at Fidelity primarily architecting / delivering and supporting solutions for many of the business units and 5 years as a contractor primarily with Ethicon Endo Surgery. Not only have I coded up solutions, but I have been an active participant for all parts of the software development lifecycle. I’ve played a key role at the beginning of the process by gathering business and technical requirements, designed solutions based on approved technologies, and cultivating initial estimates. I’ve been the primary actor during the development phases in delivering active prototypes and coordinating Unit, performance and quality testing. I’ve also seen these solutions through production delivery and phased upgrades. I’ve even seen some solution retirement and archival processes. Because Fidelity is a financial services firm and Ethicon a medical devices company, I’ve implemented compliant solutions to government and industry regulations like SEC compliance, Part 11, and Sarbanes – Oxley.I’ve had many years of REST and SOAP based web service development.
