Ever since I was a little human bean (yes, you read that correctly), I had always dreamt of what career choice I would be choosing and where I would see myself after college, etc. and so on. But as I got older and came to a close to my high school years in 2019, deciphering a major is no easy decision! The major I had decided was dental hygiene! The first year had gone by rather rapidly, which helped boost my confidence in learning while creating an eagerness to continue. Then, the fall semester of 2020 happened. The world was still isolated by now and the beginning of the semester is about to begin. But not too long after the introduction of the new semester, virtual learning became mandatory. At this point, the arduous decision to switch over to virtual schooling stipulated a slight panic. I was not only worried about what was present in the world, but the impact on how my schooling experience would be. Well, I had decided to put schooling on pause because the learning experience was becoming unbearable, especially science courses, like human anatomy. This had left a huge toll on my mental state, leaving me to wonder if I was even smart enough or if I had made a big mistake. But I soon realized that this decision I had made opened up an extraneous amount of time to plan the next few years, as well as, it left the speculation of how long it will take for our world to go back to "normal" or perhaps see if the world is going to have to adapt to the deadly virus. I was able to take advantage the best I could. So, from dental hygiene to now an oncoming software engineer, I am pleased to have taken another path and glad to be associated with the tech world. I have always been an advocate for technology but would have not realize for it if it weren't for the determination to figure what was next for me.Fast forward after my two years in community college, majoring in computer science, I had chosen to step outside the box and found TripleTen. TripleTen has caused me to take what I've learned from college and weave it into real-life skills in the industry. Not only have I been exposed to the fabricate job experiences they resembled to real-world, but I have also been able to continue to expand my knowledge of coding even further. With my previous experience with retail, I have grown for the desire to work with teams. And with the career I am pursuing, teamwork is a huge MUST.
