Currently working at Senior Technician Level, I currently run site projects and commissioning of Fire, Intruder Alarms, IP CCTV and Access Control systems on various sites from planning and redesign through to handover of commercial systems with several on going at any one time. Commissioning of Monitored Fire, CCTV and Intruder Alarm systems, Responsible for the organisation of engineers on site and their workloads also stock management for these sites. I also take care of fault finding, servicing and upselling of systems. Customer training and queries plus training and support for other engineers within the company. Liaison between engineers, sub-contractors, other contractors and site managers with contracts on varying sites and of varying sizes running simultaneously. Also part of a call out rota and very flexible with other engineers if they require cover.Used to dealing with commercial, site, council and NHS contracts/procedures/work/RAMs etc.Skills include integrated and advanced set up and use of Galaxy and Galaxy Max, Emizon, Dedicated Micros, Redwall, Luminite, Dennard, Paxton, Biometrics, DSX, BPT, ACT, RedCare, Secure2, Milestone, HD IP CCTV, HD-SDI CCTV, Automatic barriers, Videcon and Texecom systems to NACOS Gold standards.Networking knowledge including patch panels, Cat5 and Cat6 cable running and termination.Strip down, Repair, Rebuild, Upgrade and firmware update of DM Sprite, DM SD Advanced, Videcon , IC Realtime NVR’s CCTV/Access control servers.I also install, commission, repair and maintain Gent and Advanced fire systems.

After sub -contracting for Continental Installations fitting security systems (Intruder, CCTV, Access control, Attendance, Additions to the IT network and automatic garage doors I was asked to work for them full time installing and repairing automatic garage doors and Somfi automatic gates. I worked between both sides of the company, the other being part of and sometimes in charge of a site installation team installing and repairing curtain walling systems, Ribbon and aluminium windows, Aluminium doors and canopy’s across the UK. This involved working away most weeks, some weekend work and some night work. I would also help in the factory at times machining and building the aluminium sections and automatic doors that we would take to site and fit.
