As a team lead, I am responsible for staffing, planning, tasking and execution. I work with my direct reports to offer guidance, provide technical help and feedback, and enable them to stretch and learn while actively contributing to our product. I work directly with customers, technical disciple experts, and program management to ensure a cohesive plan and results are in place and communicated efficiently and effectively.

I specialize in testing and infrastructure for complex 6DOF system simulations. I coordinate and develop test policies across functional teams to maintain consistent, streamlined practices for testing our delivered software.Currently I work in DevSecOps integration and growth for my team, guiding us towards more sustainable development and release practices.

During my internship at NASA, I worked as a software development team-member maintaining and improving the Information Architecture web application. The app built with Ruby on Rails and provides reports and storage for data on launch systems prior to launch. Support for this application involved modifying and writing unit and integration tests, adding new features, querying PostgreSQL databases, and fixing bugs.

During my first internship at NASA, I contributed to two projects: a design project and a software project. For the design project, my team and I collaborated with a Flight Trajectory team at NASA’s Langley Research Center for building a simulation in Unity (game engine) of landing procedures for rovers and modules to land on Mars. I also developed an architecture for designing components for Lunar/Martian missions. This architecture involved an exercise in constructing a Highly Autonomous Propellant Management (HAPM) system (extraterrestrial fuel generation/transfer/refueling platform). The software project was upgrading and deploying a simulation engine, Trick 2007 to Trick 2015, for the manned space flight program and ground support systems. I utilized object-oriented programming skills (C++) and scripting (Python, Bash & Perl) to develop simulation models, write simulations, and combine a database of models into an executable file that could be controlled over Telnet (TCP/IP remote access tool). The outcome of this project was the software and build scripts being deployed to enable testing of mission-critical, human-rated software at Kennedy Space Center.
