Manage contracts including civil works, refuse, snow removal and facility cleaning. Manage any warranty issues for equipment and/or repair work. Meets with a wide range of suppliers for the various materials and equipment required for the facility and facility maintenance. Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes. Work with Planning to review all contracts for all facilities projects. Coordinate with IT, terminal planning and layout projects on the facility. Interprets the applicable collective bargaining agreement and practices and adjudicate labor grievances at the pier level. Ensure that staff is adequately educated and trained in OSHA, OHS&E policies and collective bargaining agreements.
