4th Dimension Technology LTD specialise in the EV market and have developed a sophisticated large-scale EV Charging platform using the latest technologies.Responsible for the design, development, and architecture strategy of the full application stack, from database, through to platform, through to mobile. The public facing mobile application was developed in C# (Xamarin) and encapsulated many different integrations with cloud services such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Apple SSO, Google SSO, Google Maps, and Google Firebase. Content was cached locally in the application using SQLite and was connected to a sophisticated Mosquitto MQTT broker for content updates.Forged several key technical and platform relationships with our customers, including a large global engineering client. Defined platform strategy and roadmap to ensure that it met the customer requirements whilst still driving the core MVP function of the platform to align with the overall market requirements.

A European Space Agency funded high performance Electric Vehicle Platform that specialised in the Vehicle-To-Grid (V2G) market. Using advanced metrics and predictive AI, this project sought to identify the available battery capacity stored in EVs at any point in time and deliver the energy back to the National Grid to provide additional capacity in high usage periods.Responsible for the design of the platform and the management/mentorship of the development team that was brought on-board specifically to deliver the service. I was also responsible for defining the market proposition for the business and worked closely with the European Space Agency to ensure that the business was aligned with the project specifications and ensured that the delivery schedules were adhered to during this period.I was also responsible for maintaining the key relationships within the consortium with the other stakeholders and ensured that technical delivery was in line with the expectations of these businesses.Latterly, in the Summer of ’21 I was part of the team that designed, and development of their ‘EV8- Switch’ product that again was in partnership with the European Space Agency to utilise the GNSS satellite positioning system funded by the partner European countries. This involved a complex Xamarin Forms cross- platform mobile application that monitored peoples’ journeys and calculated the users’ cost saving if they were to switch to an Electric Vehicle. The mobile application delivered the raw data to a cloud-based platform service that processed the data and delivered the reports back to the mobile client.This position is on-going as I am also a member of the Board of Directors however, my involvement is now limited to quarterly board meetings to define business strategy, market opportunities.

Designed, and developed cutting edge IoT platform and mobile application for remote monitoring of bolt tension used on wind farms and other mission critical industrial solutions. Designed and built AWS scalable services to host platform using EC2, Aurora, Elastic Load Balancing, and associated services.

Designed and developed a leading edge DLNA media server fully cross-platform in C/C++ using SQLite as a local data store for digital content. Platform was highly scalable real-time media streamer utilising the very latest in codec technology. Platform was reliant on high-quality, low latency and efficient , high throughput code using the TCP/IP stack.
