Group Quality Manager for the Surface Technology Division

Dealing with client documentation issues and ensuring the internal departments work to the correct procedures- Internal and external audits, pFMEA & SPC analysis, PPAP, Quality Control Plans.- Non conformance control and associated cost implications (internal & external).- Improving the use of quality related documentation on the shop floor (With use of new dimensional report and final inspection documentation, with works order packs)- Implementation of new quality procedures to reflect new and updated working processes and procedures- Analysis on batch traceability for deviation via SPC and pivot table analysis- Project managing all works orders (client & internal orders are processed through myself and I am directly responsible for customer/inter-company -communication and feedback)- Raising new and revising technical quotations to desired timescales- Client liaison regarding standards of supply and championing the clients expectations to the internal departments. Feedback is conveyed to internal teams via meeting or videoconference.- Chair project kick off meetings with all concerned departments and ensure that everyone is aware of what is required and to the appropriate timescales are - ensuring it-s correctly documented.- Monthly financial analysis to the company directors on turnover, P&L order and quotation analysis as well as relevant KPIs-- I have also spent time working in Norway and Latvia with internal company departments on quality and project related issues- Development of the company website

Managing the internal and external non-conformances and implementing the required corrective actions with appropriate documentation, (8D reporting)- Dealing with any customer/supplier issues that arise.- Goods in Checking and issuing to production.- Working with production and inspection quality issues, which may result in a re-work procedure and/or corrective actions. Training inspectors to desired level of operation- Maintaining the companies Quality manual which is BSI accredited to 9001:2000, and ensure that all quality/work procedures are implemented and up to date, also working with Aerospace standard AS9100 to ensure compliance.- Internal and external audits, pFMEA & SPC analysis, PPAP, Quality Control Plans- Monthly KPi-s and Pivot table scrap analysis, some Six Sigma Methodology utilisation, notably DMAIC methodology- Design and implementation of Operating Procedures and practices- Developing the companies Perfluoro range on both the technical and processing side, with the emphasis on superior technical performance alongside processability.

---- Working for a battery plate company which produces products via compression moulding a thermoset polymer with a conductive filler. I was responsible for all aspects of product development from the primary product to the finished assembly and have a strong input into the battery development --- side of the business, which can involve re-formulation of the product to meet - the required product or processing needs. I would also write operating procedures for the various methods of preparation and finishing for the end product or stage in production, which would be utilised by the technician and production staff, to enable everyone to be working to the correct standard. I planned work schedules for the development programs including project planning and was involved in cost down work. I also worked with production to help with any production issues that may arise in order to reduce the reject rate. I was responsible for a technician who reports into me in terms of workload scheduling, planning and time management.

Developing compounds for the plate heat exchanger, MOD and general industry using a wide variety materials from Natural Rubber / EPDM / NBR / HNBR, Silicone and polyeurthane rubbers.
