As Treasurer, I create a semesterly budget incorporating every role and position in the house; furthermore, I keep track of expenses and incomes and make sure accounts are in check, and I also try to keep members of the chapter financially knowledgable. In addition to this, I also work with the rest of the chapter's executive council to make sure that our chapter business is in order.

During this internship, I was exposed to numerous teams across the investments department and got a strong understanding of the operations of an investment management team. I was also exposed to different departments throughout the company and learning how they operate through the American Equity "Business Series".I spent majority of my time working on a few projects with the investment reporting team. I loaded trade transactions into the SQL database on a daily basis and then updated them using BlackRock Aladdin to be accurate; I would then Generate daily reports using Microsoft Power BI. I also utilized SQL to create a procedure in the server that, when ran, would pull daily positions along with misc. info into a daily position table; furthermore, I worked on writing procedures to calculate capital charges on our positions.
