· Solely responsible for handling all claims arising from Waterfront Shipping’s fleet activities.· This includes calculating & preparing freight, demurrage and other 3rd party claims.· Connecting with external ship brokers and charterers to ensure smooth tracking and collection of claims.· Designing and implementing new tracking methods to optimize the collection process.· Deep understanding of various marine charter parties and contracts to deduce correct allocation of costs.· Quarterly reports showcasing collections and latest collection timeframe statistics.

· The main focuses of my duties involve helping with the database management and analysis of the company’s choice operational management program, IMOS, for the Marine Operations department.· Create laytime calculations for Operations department based on contractual terms for demurrage claim.· Keep IMOS system up to date with daily dynamic rotation & cargo changes.· Keeping track of outstanding demurrage claims, fuel purchase and consumption and ensuring the marine operations raw data is up to date and funnelled to the relevant workflow within the operational management system.· Create and manage voyages and fixture itineraries in operational management system.· Compile and analyse performance data for port stays and vessels’ tank cleaning procedures.· Compile data and create Marine Operations Quarterly Reports that track key KPI’s for internal management and shareholder analysis.

· The crux of this position was to ensure myself and the other naturalists safely supervise and offer insightful, scientific, information about the Whales and other Marine Mammals found of the coast of Vancouver during a 3-5-hour Whale Watching tour.· Tasked by the with training new naturalists in all facets of the position and assessing whether they have the prerequisite knowledge, as well as the personality, to be successful in the position.· During the season, while on the boats, I addressed large groups of people, ranging from various ages (Elementary Age all the way up to Senior Citizens groups), and successfully built up a rapport with these customers while still delivering the relevant information about the animals we were viewing. I found this particularly rewarding and beneficial to my oratory skills, as different age groups would require a different style of engagement to get the most out of the experience.· I was responsible for the safety of all passengers on-board. I was regularly required to carry out safety drills to ensure that we would be ready to handle and problem that arose on the water with the utmost professionalism and calmness. On a day-to-day basis. I would explain the emergency procedures to all passengers on-board the vessel and run through the required drills to ensure all customers knew the correct procedures if necessary.· This position reinforced my ability to manage a team as well as building on my customer service acumen, as there would often be instances where you could be dealing with upset or angry customers due to factors beyond our control (weather, no whales seen), in an environment where the situation had to be confronted and resolved there and then. I believe this has led me to becoming adept at diffusing volatile scenarios with minimum conflict leading to a satisfying end for both parties.

· Exercising a good understanding of clinical governance, and the importance of Quality Assurance and Quality control activities e.g., Laboratory safety procedures, Patient confidentiality, Data Protection regulations.· Required to enter large volumes of sensitive medical information into a variety of computer systems (Telepath, ICE), ensuring that the upmost care is taken to maintain high levels of accuracy. Liaising with laboratory staff to make sure that the workflow remains steady and ensuring that no backlogs occur where possible, as timescales are particularly stringent when dealing with sensitive and urgent medical tests.· Periodically expected to work the Virology & Microbiology Phone Customer Service and Results line. This entails giving out highly sensitive patient information in a concise manner and requires a high level of understanding of medical terminology, as well as demanding excellent rapport building and communication skills.
