These checklists guided our development through four levels of knowledge and responsibility: Course, Experienced, Advanced, and Senior Technician. Following the achievement of Senior Tech., I continued to improve my staff and customer management skills to attain the role of Site Manager. Upon promotion to this role, I was entrusted with the full responsibility of operating the high ropes course, facilitating the flow of customers, as well as coordinating staff roles throughout the day and response to incidents. As a Senior Technician I also helped to uphold the high standards of integrity and safety necessary for operation through participation in technical maintenance of the course structural and hardware elements. In addition to the front-end course requirements, the founder of the company envisioned a finely landscaped environment surrounding/under the high course (which takes advantage of otherwise unusable space, built over water-retention/drainage ponds), so I volunteered early in my time at Adventura to help maintain the grounds to a professional standard. Through playing games on the ground and climbing on the high course, as a team we aimed to help individuals connect with their peers and discover growth opportunities within themselves to overcome barriers and foster deeper connections that they could take back to the office environment.Whether for morale or targeted development, there is a lot to be learned through play.

This small farm produces a serious amount of nutritious herbs and vegetables. For 1-2 days a week during peak summer harvest season I got my hands dirty wherever needed in order to meet the demand for fresh locally grown food. My roles ranged from turning over recently harvested beds in order to set the next crop up for success, to harvesting hundreds of kilos of fresh vegetables, to preparing the harvest for market. The work not only allowed me to get my hands in the soil, but also gave me a deep appreciation for the amount of food that can be grown locally on small plots of land, reinforcing my drive to integrate the biological and built environments for harmonious, regenerative, and sustaining habitats.

I hope to inspire the next generation of snow sports enthusiasts or help the veteran skiers adapt to new technology. The fruitful initial training allowed me to return for more multi-day guided trips down the Lower Salmon and Snake Rivers in Idaho, USA, trusting me to safely deliver the necessary supplies for the guides and clients during week-long trips from campsite to campsite along the twisting rivers.
