As a member of the site selection team, I was responsible for using JMARS and its tools to find a desireable landing zone as well as an area with scientific value. Once a zone was selected, I worked with fellow engineering design team members along with the Instrumentation team, modeling the rover (payload) using Solidworks. The design development had to keep both payload constraints and budgetary constraints in mind.
