For the first 6 months I was on the Provisioning Team. On that team it was my responsibility to configure network devices such as firewalls and load balancers. To get the network devices ready for deployment I also have to modify the network where the devices are being racked to ensure network connectivity throughout their environment.After I was on the Enterprise Network Security 2nd shift team. On this team I am tasked with the management and troubleshooting of enterprise level customers. I have to work with customers to solve their issues with ranging level of difficulty. In some cases, a few customers have recognized me for my support by them emailing their account managers. I have also received good merits from fellow Rackers such as lead techs and account managers. Below are devices and the type of work performed on said device:• Cisco ASA: Various types of NAT configurations, such as static NAT, dynamic NAT, PAT, and policy NAT. Configuring and troubleshooting Client, Site-to-Site, and SSL VPNs. Configuring MPF to limit connections to certain destination hosts. Troubleshooting connectivity using packet captures and packet-tracer.• Juniper SRX: Configuring Static NAT and VPN.• F5 Big-IP: Configuring pools and virtual servers. Configuring health check monitors for pool members (Layer 4 or Layer 7). Basic iRules for redirection and pool selection. Bringing pool members in and out of load balancing rotation. Troubleshooting connectivity using tcpdump. • Brocade ADX: Configuring real servers and virtual servers. Configuring basic CSW policies for redirection and pool selection. • Switches: I have worked on various Cisco switches, Arista switches, and Cisco Nexus switches. I have configured but not limited to vlans, vlan filters, SVIs, ACLs, switch ports (trunks or access), vPC, MLAG, and port channels. Troubleshooting connectivity though a customers environment.• Routers: I have configured an IPSec tunnel on a cisco series router.

Daily duties consist of checking the status of the network using SolarWinds Orion to ensure all devices are up. I work with C4500, C3750x , C3750G, Juniper SSG 320 firewall, as well as other networking equipment. If switches are down, it is my responsibility to troubleshoot the problem in order to bring the devices back up. Also, completing various work orders dealing with network issues. I recently have been given more responsibility with putting in policy rules for our Juniper firewall. I have been a part of projects: I had to configure two VPN tunnels on our Juniper SSG350 firewall. They would be used for a virtual private cloud(VPC) with Amazon Web Services(AWS). Also, I had to configure a BGP neighborships with the AWS VPC to exchange routes. Change IP addressing on interfaces and NAT on our firewall for the changing of our ISP. I aslo had to change the vpn and BGP setting with AWS VPC.Performing an evaluation on Whatup Gold and SolarWinds Orion network management software. The reports that were generated by me at the end of the evaluation led to the purchasing of SolarWinds.Configuring over one hundred access switches to be deployed out at three campuses. After configuring was completed, racking the switches, re-patching, and connecting fiber patch cables that go to the MDF. Replacing three networking cabinets. Removing equipment from the old cabinet and moving them to the new one. Also, using a hydraulic pump to punch out holes for data cabling.Working with contractors with swapping out network equipment at three campuses that I was involved with during the week of spring break.
